Just like gas boilers, we recommend that oil boilers in Ashton Keynes home be serviced once a year. You may think this is an unnecessary investment, but neglecting your oil boiler service could actually cost you more in the long run and seriously diminish the lifespan of your oil boiler.
Prestige Heating and Electrical Services’ professional oil boiler engineers serve many areas of the SN6 postcode area and are members of OFTEC (the Oil Firing Technical Association) – a competent persons scheme which approves technicians qualified to install and maintain oil boilers and heating systems.
We have seen first-hand the consequences of failing to regularly service your oil boiler in Ashton Keynes and the outlying villages including, Minety, Oaksey and South Cerney. Mainly it comes down to your oil boiler failing to run optimally, costing you more in fuel bills, and it also increases the likelihood of a boiler breakdown meaning you might have to buy a replacement oil boiler or spend out for costly oil boiler repairs.
Besides impacting on the reliability and energy efficiency of your oil boiler, failing to have an annual oil boiler service in Ashton Keynes can be a safety risk as if your boiler is not combusting properly it could be emitting toxic carbon monoxide.
Prestige Services is extremely safety conscious, which is one more reason why we strongly recommend you not to neglect having your oil-fired boiler serviced annually in Ashton Keynes. Faulty, badly maintained boilers can emit poisonous carbon monoxide without you realising it, because it is odourless, colourless and tasteless.
One of the things our registered and highly trained Ashton Keynes boiler engineers check thoroughly when servicing your oil boiler is the safety devices built in to the appliance. We also clean the boiler heat exchanger, check the flue, fuel supply pipe and the oil storage tank, as well as replacing the oil nozzle. Finally, we perform a full combustion test and clear up the work space. After the inspection and oil service is complete, we’ll give you a full written Service report of the work we’ve done, and recommend any repairs if there are any.
A full oil boiler service in your Ashton Keynes home ensures the ongoing efficiency of your oil boiler and the safety of all those in your household.
